Otunba Gani Adams and His Wife

Lagos state and its environs on 30th of April,

2016 stands still as the Oodua People Congress

National Coordinator, Otunba Gani Adams

celebrates his 46th birthday amidst joy and

happiness. It was indeed a happy time for the

National Coordinator as friends, family, well-

wishers and associates converged at Batten

House event center around MKO Abiola Garden

beside Adonai Court. Some of the dignitaries who

graced the occasion includes; top monarch leader,

business mogul and top politicians in the country.

Representing the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni

Rauf Aregbesola is Alhaji Semiu Okanlawon,

Commissioner of Information, Dayo Adeneye was

also at the event representing the governor of

Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun, Publicity secretary

Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, wife of the popular

Juju maestro Sunny Ade, Chief Mrs Risikat

Adegeye and Lagos State House of Assembly

member, Hon. Tunde Braimoh.

The Oganla of Fuji music, Pasuma, Evangelist

Lanre Teriba and Oodua band group were all on

the band stand to thrill the entire attendees with

their melodious voice.

Meanwhile, saying that Otunba Gani Adams is a

man of many parts; visionary leader, a

charismatic political activist, a reliable champion

of right of the masses, an embodiment of political

morality is like stating the obvious. But without

mincing words, he’s an epitome of virtues to

humanity whose priority is promoting and

preserving the culture and tradition of the

Yoruba race.

Speaking to journalist, Adams, while expressing

gratitude to the Almighty for sparing his life,

said he was surprised by the turnout of

dignitaries who came to identify with him in his

hours of joy. “I wish to send my sincere

appreciation to all those who turned out to

celebrate with me during my 46th birthday

celebration.

The Royal fathers from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun,

Ekiti, Kwara, Oyo, too numerous to list here, to

the representatives of the Governors of Ondo

State and State of Osun, Ogun State, The DG,

NTDC, Honorable members of Federal House of

Representatives, State Assemblies, The media

practitioners, friends, Associates, members of

OPC, members of OPU, Family members, my aides

and all those too numerous to mention, I say a

'big thank you' to you all.

I thank you all for your support and prayers

towards the success of the programme. I am

overwhelmed with emotions over your turnout and

it made me to realise the truth in the popular

Yoruba proverb, 'eniyan laso mi'.
