In a bid to acknowledge and appreciate those who are contributing their hard earn money to the cause of Islam in this period of harsh economic situation, the leadership of Zumuratul Muhsineen Islamic Society of Nigeria organised a befitting award to commemorate it's 15th anniversary and reward top prominent members of the society as a way of showing appreciation and encouraging them to do more. The society dragged creme de la creme in the society to the well packaged and colourful show held yesterday at the prestigious Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos Island.

Ebonymediagist gathered that Mushineen was founded 15 years ago by its Chief Missioner, fadilat Sheilkh Alade with the aim of propagating Islam and teaching Islamic doctrines through it's Fiqhi. In his sermon, quoted from the holy Quran chapter 2 verse 261 by the National Missioner of NADWAT ISLAMIC SOCIETY, Imam Abdulrahman Lawal told the awardees not to relent in their efforts as many rewards were awaiting them from Almighty Allah.
High point of the event was the presentation and decoration of award to guests including Alhaja Taibat Gbojubola, Alhaja Sherifat Olugbode, Alhaja Modupe shine shine, Alhaja Nimotallahi Onikoyi among others. Speaking with our correspondent, the National President of Muhisineen Islamic Society, Alhaji Usman thanked the Almighty Allah for His support, adding that the new step for the society now is to have its mosque in a sensitive location like Parkview in Okoko, Lagos, which he said does not have any mosque at the moment. One of the awardees, who is also the Iya Adini of Zumuratu Mushineen, Alhaja Taibat Gbojubola, who spoke with Ebonymedia on behalf of other awardees reaffirmed the request of the President as she stated that she would do everything possible to acquire the land and make use of her connection to build the mosque in the said location.
