The Organisers of the St Eve West African Fashion Week has announced that it is due to hold in April, 2017.
This years Fashion Week  themed: FASHION ON THE STREET is giving opportunities to so many creative designers today who started their creative ideas from the street. Speaking on this the founder of the fashion week Evelyn Okere said, when you walk along the street, it builds your creativity from the people and things you see, who really can speak fashion on the street, almost -“EVERYBODY”.

Speaking further, she said,we are putting our fashion out and we want everybody to key into it. We are making it bigger by connecting with young students and non-students in Lagos and across Nigeria to exercise and exhibit their creative mind set while also not forgetting the top designers in Nigeria and Africa who will be showcasing on the runway.

We are giving young students and non-students a platform to excel. This year we will be giving a One (1) year contract deal and a cash prize to our top three (3) young winners in every category. All details regarding this event are up on our website. (www.westafricanfashionweek.style). Instagram: westafricanfashionweek123, Twitter: Stevewafw123 Facebook: www.facebook.com/westafricanfashionweek/

We have created four(4) zones (North, East, South, West) in every zone a mini fashion show/audition will be held. Our aim is for students to key into this event. This event is not limited to fashion designers only. We have various categories (Modelling, Hair Styling, Photography, Fashion Designers, Makeup artist) all of these are what makes our fashion week innovative.

We will pick our best Five (5) from each zone and the grand finale will be held in Lagos where the best three (winners) in all categories will be announced. The idea behind this is to build a brand.

We have Olajumoke ‘’The Bread Seller’’ turned SuperModel as the face of this event and also a model on our runway. As we all know she is a representation of the street and all that it embodies, and also a  lot of top designers/models come from the street.

This years Fashion Week will also see the launch of the empowerment project for the physically challenged, giving them an opportunity to take a role in the value chain of the fashion industry by producing for designers and earning a living from the items they make which would be labelled as hand made sustainable products.
Already a lot of partners are keying into this fashion week which comes with a different innovative approach in the Fashion industry. It would also see the launch of a major Afrocentric  fashion, lifestyle and travel label known as MY BEAUTIFUL AFRICA,a brand hoping to integrate Fashion and Travel across Africa.

Th event will hold at Eko Atlantic City Victoria Island Lagos. A total 4 day out door fashion event, and its asking participants to LET YOUR STYLE SPEAK.
