Herbert Wigwe,Brett King To Grace 2019 AFF Disrupt Conference

Australian-born Digital Innovation expert Brett King will be keynote speaker at the 2019 Africa Fintech Foundry Disrupt conference, scheduled to hold in Lagos on Thursday, May 16, 2019. 
The one-day conference will focus on the theme “Digital Gold Rush: Building a Sustainable Tech-Economy”, which will attract 30+ speakers, 2 panels, 3 master-classes, 2 fireside chats and 5 thought leadership sessions & debates. 
This was disclosed by Mr Adeolu Bajomo, Executive Director, Digital Operations &  IT, Access Bank at a press briefing on the conference in Lagos. 
Speaking further Bajomo said the Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of  Access Bank, Mr Herbert O. Wigwe, will also speak at the summit. 
According to him the “Disrupt Conference” is designed to deepen the Nigerian Fintech ecosystem, asserting that the Fintech industry has the potential to address unemployment and create more economic opportunities in the country. 
“It will be a learning experience, an opportunity for fintechs to connect and create an exposure to innovation for participants” said, Bajomo. 
On the theme “Digital Gold Rush”  the Executive Director, Digital Operations of Access Bank emphasised the fact that in the age of the fourth industrial revolution, every single business must go digital. 
He believed that the conference would provide an opportunity for fintechs to innovate and provide solutions, in the financial services industry compliant with set regulations. 
The Head, Africa Fintech Foundry, Mr Segun Adeniyi, giving an overview of the forthcoming event noted that what has been termed the largest tech conference in the country, has over 10,000 registered people showing enthusiasm towards the forum. 
Adeniyi also informed the press that there will be sessions for regulators, venture capitalists and legal players at the conference. He said that the goal of the Africa Fintech Foundry  is to position it and Access Bank as the thought leader in innovation, technology and disruption. 
Speaking on the hub, Adeniyi stated that since the inception of the Africa Fintech Foundry in 2017, the platform has engaged and equipped over 1,000 entrepreneurs. 
Anita Odiete of the Venture Capital & Incubation Segment of the Africa Fintech Foundry, also gave updates on the “Women In Technology” session that will feature at the conference.
Odiete was of the view that the session will involve a brain-storming session, on how the gender inclusion can be achieved in the Nigerian technology space. 
Other notable personalities expected to attend the event include Mr Leo Stan Ekeh, the Founder of Zinox Technologies
