GOtv Rounds Off August with Thrilling Sport, Kiddies, Telenovela Programmes

GOtv subscribers will be treated to the very best of exciting programmes for their viewing pleasure as the month of August winds down.
From Friday, 23 August till Thursday, 29 August, GOtv will make available to subscribers thrilling telenovelas, movies, documentaries, sport, children and general entertainment programmes.
The weekend begins on Friday, 23 August when Aston Villa host Everton at the Villa Park for a week three game of the English Premier League. Nigeria is well represented in the contest as Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi, may likely make his long-awaited debut for the Toffes. It airs live at 8pm on SuperSport Select 2.
The 2019/2020 football season is already in full swing and the Italian Serie A will provide more thrill when it kicks off on Saturday, 24 August as Juventus, the defending champions, travel to Parma to begin the defence of their title. The game will be broadcast at 5pm on SuperSport Select 5.
There is more football action this weekend from the La Liga as Barcelona aim to recover from their stuttering start last weekend when they host Real Betis at the Camp Nou on Sunday, 25 August. Kick-off time for the game is 8pm and it will be broadcast on SuperSport Select 4.
The intrigues continue in Betty In New York, showing weekdays at 7pm on Telemundo. On the episode broadcast on Friday, 23 August, Marcela humiliates Betty and threatens to kick her out of the company. Betty feels hurt. Meanwhile, Sofia gets revenge on Jenny.
Also on offer for telenovela loversWomen of Steel, showing weekdays at 8pm on Telemundo. The drama intensifies on Monday, 26 August, as Sofia kidnaps Tuti and Alvarito. Meanwhile, Elizabeth skips school to take drugs, while Rosario desperately searches for her. Will the search be fruitful?

In Kindred Hearts, Aditya and Jhanvi attend their first festival since they got married. Nisha’s memory loss puts a strain on the Jindal family, but Aditya is convinced that she is pretending. Dharmesh works on separating Aditya and Jhanvi. Nisha has become suspicious and feels as though there is a hidden truth being kept away from her. Will the truth be revealed? The drama will be broadcast on Thursday, 29 August at 8pm on Zee World.

About Last Night depicts four random individuals who, in the midst of discussing business, attempt to become love birds. While out with loudmouthed pal Bernie, Danny meets successful businesswoman Debbie, who is as leery of relationships as Danny is. However, Danny and Debbie both feel the pull of undeniable attraction, and they end up spending the first of several nights together. The two try to make a success of being a couple despite warnings from Bernie and Joan, Debbie's best friend. Meanwhile, Bernie and Joan experience some chemistry of their own. See as the story unravels on Saturday, 24 August at 7pm on BET.
There are quite a number of programmes for the kiddies this week such as Claude S1, showing on Saturday 24 August at 6am on Disney Junior. Beret clad dog, Claude, returns to Disney Junior this month, with further escapades in the seaside resort of Pawhaven.
The kids will also get to enjoy Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,which shows on Monday 26 August at 12:01pm on Nickelodeon. The gang is busting out of school and going on a field trip in this special edition of the show.
Competitions are always intense to prepare for, but sometimes it seems a lucky charm might be needed to clinch the needed victory. On this episode of Mickey And The Roadster Racers entitled: ‘Goof Luck Charm, Teed Off!’, Goofy is having awesome luck, so Daisy borrows his lucky rubber duck when she enters a tough race. The Happy Helpers are golf caddies who solve problems but can they help in this instance. The kids will get to know more on Tuesday, 27 August at 3:30pm on Disney Junior.

For adults with an interest for wildlife and Nature lovers, Wild Nordic,showing on Sunday, 25 August at 5pm on Nat Geo Wild, promises to be a spectacle. This programme is an epic, high-quality series that profiles one of the coldest and most fabled areas of our planet: Scandinavia. It chronicles the tale of a wild land, as well as the iconic creatures of the region -  wolverines, brown bears, arctic foxes, puffins, reindeer and whales amongst others. 

Quality African entertainment is not left out for viewers as Mad Widowsairs on Friday, 23 August at 7pm on Africa Magic Epic. Selfishness and greed become the driving force that propelled so many evil manipulations by some family members against their own blood.
