Commissioning and Handover of a Block of Classrooms at Dr. Teslim Elias Model School including new block of classes for Union Baptist Primary School Lagos Island By Hon Tijani Adetoyese Olusi

The Lagos Island Local Government chairman Hon Tijani Adetoyese Olusi , in partnership with a non governmental organization - BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST, on 19th September 2019,commissioned and handed over the renovated Dr. Teslim Elias Model School including new block of classes for Union Baptist Primary School, Oja Oba - Adeniji Adele way, Lagos Island.


The non governmental organization - BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST, in furtherance of its mission to promote the dignity of human life through assistance, mentorship and empowerment commissioned a block of classrooms at Dr. Teslim Elias Model School including new block of classes for Union Baptist Primary School, Oja Oba - Adeniji Adele way, Lagos Island.

Present at the commissioning and handover ceremony were dignitaries from the education sector, Subeb,from the Mayor  of the local government area Hon tijani adetoyese olusi and from BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST.

In his remarks the principal of the school,  appreciated the foundation for its efforts saying that it will go a long way to affect the children and as a result the world at large.

The Subeb chairman ably represented by Mrs yetunde in his speech thanked God and the foundation for the provision urging other organisations to copy BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST example. He prayed that God should strengthen the foundation to continue the good work.

Education District Head Lagos island Hon Moshood Maiyegun was thankful for the project. He prayed that God will reward the founder of the foundation,  and enable them to do more in other parts of Lagos Island

The Subeb head of philanthropic project representing the Subeb Chairman Hon Wahab Alawiye King in his remarks mentioned that what BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST has done is what missionaries came to do in Nigeria centuries back, saying he never knew that such still exists, that BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST is that kind of missionary. He went on to say that as a boy he was a product of missionary efforts, which makes him very happy with missionaries anywhere because everything he is today is as a result of  missionary work.

In her speech, the chairman of BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST, Mr Budhrani stated that the reason for the gathering is for the sake of our children who are our future leaders and counts it a great privilege for BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST to be a part of building the nation. She said that the organisation’s core vision is to make impact in education in order to leave a legacy for the future. According to him BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST took up the responsibility of building classrooms for students’ in order to have a conducive environment for better learning and concentration so they can have a reason to remain in school, thus reducing the rate of drop out. In her words, ‘No education, no life!’

The Chairman Of Lagos Island Local Government Hon Tijani Adetoyese Olusi briefing the audience that  building said, ‘No matter how long we live they will take over from us.’ He assured the chiefs and other leaders present that they will soon be proud of the children. He did not fail to recognise the CDA and CDC in the community and offered a prayer for them. He then cut the tape thereby making it open for use.

With that, guests entered the classrooms and a photo session followed.

In addition to the building of the classrooms; each classroom was furnished with a three-seater school bench, writing materials such as notebooks, pens and pencils were also provided.

All the educational officials and students interviewed expressed their pleasure with such a huge project. They all lauded BUDHRANI  CHARITABLE TRUST generosity
