SURULERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PLAYED HOST TO(LSETF) TO EMPOWER WOMEN.

Empowering a woman,means empowering the nation. This assertion necessitated the initiative of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) in conjunction with Access Bank to  agitate for and support women Entrepreneurship in Lagos State.

The Acting Executive Secretary, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Mrs Teju Abisoye stressed the importance of this initiative and said it's a vision born out of the need to reduce the rate of women dependency on their husband. In view of this, she thanked the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwolu for considering uplifting the women in the state.

According to Mrs Patricia Agboifo, the Acting Regional Sales Manager of Access Bank, Surulere Area, this is an opportunity of a life time. Loans ranging from #100,000 up to #5Million with 10% interest rate per annum will be will be assessed. She said they need to have business that will support the loan applied for and the payment of 10% interest will be required.

Speaking on Behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, the Council Manager, Mr Akeem Adesanya, also commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwolu for this laudable initiative and further thanked the Chairman for supporting the project in Surulere Local Government and advice all the women to key in and make the best use of this opportunity so that they can be self Reliance and self Dependent.

Mr Abiodun Babington, Human Resource Officer of Surulere Local Government, in his opening remarks admonished the women to seize this rare opportunity by doing everything necessary to ensure that they benefit from this initiative ,so as to become better women that will add value to the society.

The occasion has in attendance, the Executive Chairman,Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, Secretary to the Local Government, Prince Muiz Dosumu, Traditional Rulers, Members of the LSETF with the acting Executive Secretary and Access Bank.
