CRAN CONFERS NATIONAL HONOUR ON LAGOS NEIGHBOURHOOD AGENCY SPOKESPERSON

Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has honoured the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) Public Affairs Officer, Mr Afolabi Olawale for his efforts towards enhancing the image of the Agency.

The conferment of the award ceremony took place at 27th edition of the annual lecture and Awards winning ceremony of CRAN held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, recently.

The gathering is the largest assemblage of Government and private Security outfit found in the country.

Afolabi Nureni Olawale was conferred with “Merit Award in Image Making” for the Agency and alongside a Board member of the Agency representing Lagos Division, Honourable Ishola Laguda who was also awarded with "Excellence Award in Public Service".

In all, about 92 Nigerians received different categories of Awards, Honours and trophies.

It should be stressed that LSNA had been playing a complementary role with other security agencies in the State especially with the Police Force in enforcing laws and ensuring the protection of lives and property of Lagosians through intelligence gathering from its officers who are deployed to various parts of the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas of the State.

In the last one year, intelligence shared with the Police Command has boosted crime prevention efforts. Such intelligence is shared with the Police on daily basis. In the years ahead, the LNSA hopes to consolidate on its modest contributions and achievements of ensuring a zero tolerance of crime and criminality in all the nooks and crannies of the State.


Prominent Nigerians were in attendance at the event. The likes of AIG Ahmed Iliyasu representing Inspector  General of Police was the Special Guest of Honor and Chief Host respectively , Dr. Bone Chinye Efoziem was the Chairman of the occasion while His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1 Oluwo of Iwo Land, Osun State as Royal Father of the day.

Also present at the occasion were Security Chiefs, Frontline Publishers, Business Moguls among several others.
