Battle for the EPL Crown Continues With Top of the Table Clashes

The Premier League kicks into overdrive this week with two full rounds of fixtures to be played over the next six days. The English top flight will be aired live on DSTV and Gotv to fan’s delight
Following a weekend which saw Liverpool return to the top of the log after their goalless draw away to Manchester United, the Reds will go in search of further consolidation of their place with a home clash against Watford on Wednesday night.
At the same time, Manchester City (who claimed the first trophy in a potential quadruple by edging Chelsea on penalties in the League Cup final on Sunday) will be at home to West Ham United and looking to at least equal Liverpool’s result.
Yet the pick of Wednesday’s games comes from Stamford Bridge, where Maurizio Sarri’s job is surely on the line for the visit of a Tottenham Hotspur side looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss away to Burnley.
On the same evening, Manchester United face a tough trip to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Eagles are in fine form after thrashing Leicester City this past weekend, while the Red Devils have an injury crisis which will stretch caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the limit.
Also in midweek, Leicester City will have their first match since axing manager Claude Puel when they hist Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Burnley meet for a crunch match at St James’ Park.
The weekend features some truly mouthwatering matches for DStv and GOtv viewers, starting with the North London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners have hit onto some good form of late, but that will come under real scrutiny when they face their arch rivals at Wembley for what is always a hot-tempered clash.
Manchester City will then look to steal a march in the title race with a win away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, before Sunday sees Liverpool look to respond when they face Everton at Goodison Park for the latest edition of the Merseyside derby. On the same afternoon, DStv and GOtv viewers can also enjoy a West London derby between Fulham and Chelsea at Craven Cottage.
